Getting Started
Younger pupils are taught using the Bastien Piano Basics "Piano for the Young Beginner Primer A"
Older pupils (including adults) begin with "The Complete Piano Player Book 1" - also used with beginner keyboard players - before progressing to "The Joy of First Year Piano".
Don't worry if you do not have a piano! You can make excellent progress using a keyboard provided it has 61 full size keys. Later, you may prefer to buy a digital piano such as the Yamaha NP-30.

SUMMER TERM 2012
1) TERM DATES
A) HALF TERM: Week beginning MONDAY 4th JUNE
B) END OF TERM: The Summer Term will end on SUNDAY 5th AUGUST.
C) AUTUMN TERM: The Autumn term will commence on MONDAY 3rd SEPTEMBER.
2) FEES:
With effect from SEPTEMBER 1st 2012, the cost of 5 lessons of half an hour's duration will increase to £65.

6) ADLINGTON HALL near MACCLESFIELD:
I shall be giving a demonstration of the pipe organ
in Adlington Hall on Sunday May 13th between 2.30 and 4.00pm. The organ was
built in 1691 and is believed to have been played by the composer Handel.
Admission to the house and gardens is £9 (£5 concessions).
